TNA Impact results and videos from Aug. 11 show

Photo

Despite the fact that this was a taped show and spoilers were readily available online beforehand, here are the quick results and some videos from tonight's (Aug. 11) show in Orlando:

  • The opening segment saw Ken Anderson attack the members of Immortal after some egging on from Bully Ray. He eventually bladed and left on a stretcher.
  • Mickie James picked up a clean win over Madison Rayne.
  • Brian Kendrick def. Robbie E. Cookie cost Robbie the match leading to a backstage segment where Robbie broke up with her.
  • Beer Money def. Devon, The Pope, AJ Styles and Rob Van Dam in a six-way Bound for Glory series match.
  • Kurt Angle segment explained his actions at "Hardcore Justice" using the chair brought to the ring by Hulk Hogan to defeat Sting. He spoke of an "inside source" that was feeding him information and letting him know how wrestlers are such scumbags. Sting made his way out, quickly followed by Hogan, who attacked the "Stinger" from behind with a chair. Angle revealed Hogan as his informant.
  • Tara and Miss Tessmacher def. Jackie and ODB.
  • Backstage segment with Eric Bischoff rolling out the new X-Division with a 225-pound weight limit. Gauntlet match next week will determine the number one contender to the title.
  • Jeff Jarret hit the ring for a segment that came off racist towards Hispanics but was funny if you allowed it to be. He essentially clowned on Mexicans the entire time. He brought out a couple of Mexican gardeners and called them Jose and Jos-b. I'm sorry, but that's funny.
  • Crimson def. Gunner, Scott Steiner and Bully Ray in a four-way Bound for Glory series match. Kurt Angle attacked Crimson on his way up the ramp and took him to the ring and beat on him to play the show out.

This was, by no means, a strong show but it wasn't the worst thing in the world. Bully Ray is a moderately entertaining heel while Jarrett had me cracking up, despite the racism. Videos from the night after the jump.

Nothing to look forward to

Now I’m a huge Angle mark but this idea of him being a heel, basically having Hogan be the “one” who told him about Dixie is the problem which should’ve done something about his failing marriage is ridiculous. How many more months are we going to hear about Karen basically cheating, everyone unless you’re an idiot knows she’s a slut and wouldn’t even be on tv if Jarrett didn’t have some sort of partial ownership still with the company. Does anyone see where I’m going with this? They or rather Dixies mother wants to cut cost so much but yet still keeps dumb whore’s like her around and Miss Titsmacher which is just sad to see someone who once again has no wrestling experience but because someone probably doesn’t get laid hire her just to lust over her. Stupid fucking retarded ass douchebags who shouldn’t be anywhere near a wrestling show is the cause for this. The first segment was okay at best. Anderson being in Immortal made absolutely NO SENSE so what happens, he gets kicked out while still feuding with them. Nice way to handle your characters jerk off’s. Anyways Bully has always been able to cut good promos but it seems like he’s more of the enforcer for Immortal rather than just an asset. If anyone should be looked as an enforcer, perhaps Abyss should or even Gunner which is a shitty name but no Abyss is currently being in the midst of being kicked out of Immortal. Why they drag this on is a complete waste. Gunner who held the tv belt for a lesser time than Sting’s reign should get his name changed to his actual one which sounds alot better than in this corner GUNNER. It’s so plain. Mickie James is looking more and more like WWE slutty diva than an actual wrestler. Come on, coming to the ring wrestling in cowboy boots. We know you’re suppose to be “hardcore country” but seriously do country girls dress that slutty with their ass hanging out? Maybe in a couple videos but that’s where it should stay…..in a music video. Madison is just there. Already they had a number one contenders match for the knockout title. Okay so when did just two people wrestling be looked at as some sort of obstacle you have to overcome. Shouldn’t there be atleast 4 or 5 others? Oh that’s right, there to busy worrying about trying to make some for their shitty ass tag teams division, or rather lack there of. Kendrick coming out to some terrible music that went out of style like 10 years ago while he prances to the ring looking foolish is just what I expect from the lack of creative they have. I didn’t care for his poetic promos but atleast he was entertaining. Now he just looks almost as dumb as Eric Young. Okay, maybe not that bad but you get it. Robbie is a Ryder ripoff but isn’t as good and that skit between him and Becky Bayless aka Cookie breaking up was a waste of time. If they start making her look trampy and start sucking up to everyone wrestler key word sucking just to be a manager of some sort it’ll be no surprise cause some lonely pathetic guy would get off on it. Beer Money will always be one of the best tag teams currently so nothing really to add to that aside from the 3 way was good but the problem with all there matches is they want to get it over before the break which doesn’t give it enough time to make it as good as it should be which leads to the main event always only being 10 minutes or alittle more. I feel sick right here. Angle oh Angle soooooooo is he in Immortal now or just having Hogan to be the “one” who let him have an excuse to turn heel? Like we really needed another one joining Immortal. Knockout tag match a waste of time. Jarrett acting racist is just stupid as fuck. Seriously do they just watch old WWE tapes and get ideas from them. Didn’t JBL do something almost exactly like this when he was in a feud with Eddie Guerrero? Of course he didn’t have some slut beside him cause he didn’t need one. Is or was there a point to him doing this? They’re grasping at anything to get attention any way they can. Is it because he’s the mexican champion of some sort and they have nothing else better to do for him. Thankfully I didn’t spend my time watching this cause it’s pointless and overall just plain retarded. Guess that’s why things almost as bad of a mess as they were in WCW. It’s just rather annoying that people compare them to WCW, yeah maybe the last days right before they got bought out because of dumbasses running the place. Lastly I must say….WTF IS CRIMSON BEING PUSHED SO HARD RIGHT NOW? I’m all for pushing newer talent but come on, the last guy who was undefeated was Joe and I can agree with that cause Joe can wrestle and has been for years against some of the best in the world but Crimson, a poor attempt at making TNA’s version of Orton is just brutal to watch. BMI is set to be breaking up here soon. Or that’s what it seems like after reading what I did in the coming weeks. Or is it next week? Oh well, Roode should get a nice push since he’s been there for a good time. I’m really pulling for Morgan to return cause hes’ a bad ass and should’ve been world champ atleast one time by now. I’ve seen him since his OVW days and I tell you he deserves to be a world champ sometime within the next 6 months IMO.

The “racist” against Mexicans thing has been/is Jeff Jarrett’s angle in AAA. His back and forth with El Zorro at the TripleMania press conference was pretty good. It sucks that TNA is ignoring the actual stuff going on in AAA and we wind up just seeing the fake belt and bits and pieces of this.

TNA overdubbing their show with crowd sounds is both hilarious and sad. Mostly sad.

Some day, after hearing massive "BOOO"s for the heels and "YAAAAY"s for the faces, they’ll pan out to the audience and it’ll be one old guy with his dog.
