WWE's Randy Orton admits to overdosing, slams Kelly Kelly in interview
Talking to 98KUPD's Real Rock radio show in Arizona to plug his upcoming DVD and some future WWE house shows. With it removed from Orton's website, here's the direct link to the MP3 file from the radio station's podcast feed. the ever-candid WWE champion Randy Orton makes some eyebrow raising- and distinctly non-PG, remarks. Egged on by the two hosts, he makes some very unflattering remarks towards current divas champion Kelly Kelly after noting he worked a short romance angle with her in early 2009. ("I would be a method actor, and actually sleep with her," jokes host John Holmberg. "I could name a few method actors in WWE," Orton says. "Like, ten guys.") The disparaging remarks about who Kelly has or hasn't slept with continue throughout the show. Kelly has yet to directly respond to the remarks, sans a cryptic remark on Twitter which could be interpreted as a response to Orton: "The best way to fight stupidity, is by ignoring it."
Orton admits to having serious drug problems in 2006, noting he overdosed, stopped breathing and had to be rushed to the hospital. (Confirming, in part, Irv Muchnick's story in 2007 that Orton had overdosed, although Irv initially claimed it was a suicide attempt, which is clearly not the case.) Noting he was "ashamed of it for a long time" he insists that talking about it on his upcoming DVD Randy Orton: Evolution of a Predator helped a great deal.
He also noted he had "got in trouble" and "made Vince mad" for his remarks in an ESPN interview in March when he criticised The Rock and insisted Cena was a much better performer. He insists the whole thing was "blown out of proportion" and that The Rock should have personally confronted him over his remarks, instead of complaining to Vince McMahon and management.
Baby oil, Cena poop, concussions, Mark Henry's in ring prowess and being a locker room leader are the other subjects that come up in this frank, occasionally shocking, interview.
Update: Earlier today a WWE P.R person Randy Orton made the following statement on his Twitter account:
Yesterday I put my foot in my mouth and I need to try my best to make it right. I owe Kelly K an apology. The fact that she has dated a few guys I work with doesn't make her a bad person, and is also none of my or anyone elses buisness.Yesterday I got caught up in a live radio interview and brought Kelly's personal life into it. It was completely uncalled for.Kelly I hope one day you can forgive me. I do however understand if that doesn't happen. Please everyone trash me all you want, but please drop this topic out of respect for Barb

I have never liked him that much. I think he is a good as a heel but the Viper persona is dumb. How come he only hears voices before the finisher? Shouldn’t he have to deal with them more often? Maybe someone crazy can verify this for me.
To me he always comes across as a turd, and throwing the business about Kelly Kelly out like that confirms it. I am no fan of her, or any of the centerfold Divas, but keep that stuff to yourself.
Really??
Ok lets break it down. You my friend are an idiot. He hears the voices of stupid asses like you asking for autographs. you’re not smart..get help ok …..

During the interview
they mentioned Dolph Ziggler is dating a porn star that he met at a Britney Spears concert?!?!? I don’t know if Dolph would want him putting his business out there like that…

Don’t get me wrong he’s not a slouch on the mic by any means, but his popularity can be summed up in three letters: RKO
Fascinating interview S. Bruce.
Regarding the Kelly Kelly remarks. Here’s an update from Orton’s twitter:

I don’t think he had much option about it. Bryan Alvarez and Dave Meltzer on their radio show said that the apology was forced.
