Cageside Radio 3/21/11 w/ Road Warrior Animal!
Today at 4 PM Eastern Daylight Time (1 PM Pacific), I got back into podcasting regularly with a bang as I interviewed Road Warrior Animal live on TalkShoe (archive/download available now) about his new book The Road Warriors: Danger, Death, and the Rush of Wrestling and his legendary career. A very good show with plenty of topics covered including the truth about his Lloyd's of London insurance, having a manager who was also his real manager, some of his most famous matches like Wargames and the scaffold match against The Midnight Express, working for Giant Baba, the significance of going to the WWF and winning their tag titles at Madison Square Garden, and much more.
If you want to check out previous podcasts I've done, most are at LoserLeavesTown.net, except for the occasional previous Cageside Radio shows here, which were:
- A test news podcast on 12/20/09 with Steve Lerner, who's written the awesome "More Wrestling Than Wrestling" series for this site.
- A Wrestlemania 26 Weekend roundup with fellow SBN writer Bill Hanstock.
- An interview with Frank Shamrock from the week before his retirement announcement, which he hinted at by detailing how bad his back had gotten.
- A postmortem on the Linda McMahon senatorial campaign with Cageside Seats colleague Keith Harris and author/journalist Irv Muchnick.

I have some questions for Animal that you probably already have planned, but here they are just in case.
- Would he encourage his son to join the wrestling business after his football career?
- How did he feel about the angle WWE did with Hawk being a drunk?
- How did he feel about Heidenreich being a member of LOD?
- Who would he have had join him instead of Heidenreich?
Good luck Bix… I can’t wait to hear the interview.
