Nefarious Twitter hacker strikes again?
Nope. This time it's for real, as Chris Jericho trolled his 450,000 some followers by immediately accusing Brock Lesnar of taking a dive at UFC 141 last night (Fri., Dec. 30, 2011) in Las Vegas in his fight against Alistair Overeem.
"Lesnar just took a dive," Jericho tweeted.
Naturally, most of the WWE marks out and about started some goofy speculation that Lesnar is actually the mystery return man who will pop up on Raw on Jan. 2, 2012, which is next Monday night. Jericho, always the ornery one, fed into this as well with his next tweet.
"So obvious the 1/2-12 mystery man is Brock Lesnar. That fight was a joke #ufcisfixed."
Twitter can be such a fun and irresponsible place to be when major news happens. Jericho is surely just working his followers, getting them all up in a fuss in anticipation of his major return Monday, which is still what everyone is expecting.
One thing we can be fairly certain about is that it's NOT Lesnar who will pop up on Raw. That's certainly not to say WWE isn't in his future, especially considering the fact that he effectively retired from MMA following his defeat, but that likely won't be for quite a while, if at all. We're talking maybe WrestleMania 29 in 2013.
Still, let the crazy conspiracy theories run wild.

Obviously, WWE hates the success of the UFC, so they’ll do anything and everything in their power to discredit and harm the UFC. Including making Chris Irvine make a fucking ass out of himself.

but c’mon. Do you really think using Jericho’s real name makes your point any more valid? It’s like you’re telling people “I know WWE is fake because, look, Jericho isn’t even his real name! UFC is way better.”

I’m a Jericho fan but he’s doing all of this talking why? Probably so the ratings will be high for his return or he just likes hearing himself talk. Either way we’ll see on Monday
Hmm… maybe the one person I’d like to see get their ass kicked more than Broke Lesnar is Jericho.. at this point. He’s getting annoying. I am sure Broke doesn’t like the idea of people thinking he took a dive.. then again, it’d be better for his reputation than what happened at 141.

If the mystery man turns out to be someone like Taker, it’ll be one of the biggest debacles in history. If it’s anyone but Jericho, it’ll be just another anti climax moment. I’m not to over excited because nothing worth getting into a frenzy unless it’s actually seen.

Pro wrestlers, I have noticed,
tend to have thought a lot higher of brock than reality would suggest was reasonable. What brock does when hit flush is well documented. If it were fixed, I would imagine brock would prefer to be bashed in his surgically repaired guts a few times fewer.
