That was awesome! (clap clap clapclapclap): Máscara Dorada is your new favorite wrestler

Certified baller

There's really not much I can say about this video.

It's lucha libre which anyone who follows this series knows I'm not a fan of to begin with. It's a wrestler I hadn't heard of until a week ago and hadn't seen until minutes before writing this.

So it goes without saying I walked into this blind with zero expectations, good or bad. Stupid me, I didn't know what I was in for.

That being said, I am completely obsessed with Máscara Dorado -- Golden Mask -- now. This might be the most awesome thing I've ever seen in a wrestling match.

As suggested by Cagesider -- and third favorite Canadian ever behind Bret Hart and Shenae Grimes -- Lance Storm, here is what may be the most amazing thing I've ever seen in my freakin' life.

Star-divide

So it wasn't enough that the first guy -- anyone know his name? -- bounced from the second rope to the perpendicular top rope and then nails a moonsault to the outside but then Mascara Dorado comes in and straight up melts my mind.

Hot damn.

If you have any ideas for something that made you say "that was awesome!!!" pass it along. Make sure to include either your name or your SBNation handle -- whichever you'd like to be used -- and you'll get a shout out if your idea is used! Contact me at sergio.hernandez.tx@gmail.com.

Especially as he jumped from a forward to back turned position and then executed his moonsault. Credit to both men for pulling these moves while carrying a good bit of muscle mass as well.

That clip is a perfect representation

Of both what is good, and what is bad, about lucha libre.
The good: ACTION.
The bad: Too often it’s obvious “opponents” are working together. The guy on the floor has to protect himself, protect the guy in the air, and still sell a move. Sometimes that’s too much to ask.

According to the comments, the other guy’s name is Valiente (Courageous)

Valiente’s move was probably more difficult. I suspect that if one knows how to walk on a rope, going those six or eight feet on that relatively thick cable isn’t super hard.
