WWE Smackdown spoilers for Dec. 23 episode: Enter the Dragon
Daniel Bryan is the World Heavyweight Champion.
Wrap your mind around THAT. The former Ring of Honor (ROH) star won the title after cashing in his Money in the Bank briefcase this past Sunday at the TLC pay-per-view (PPV) effectively making this episode of Smackdown the beginning of the "Daniel Bryan Era."
How long it will be remains to be seen. After capping off his title victory with an impressive showing on Raw the next night where he forced former WWE Champion Alberto Del Rio to tap, it seems to be so far, good.
Keep reading to find out what happens this Friday (Dec. 23). Will MAH BOY D-BRY be a one and done champion? Or does "The American Dragon" have staying power?
Courtesy of The Wrestling Observer, here are spoilers for this week's episode of Smackdown. And because we like you so much, we included what will go down on NXT and Superstars too!
The Big Show started the show off but soon enough, out came Mark Henry and YOUR NEW World Heavyweight Champion, Daniel Bryan. Both of the giants think they deserve the first shot at Bryan's title and Teddy Long announced a number one contenders match but it ended up not happening. Long also announced a match between Cody Rhodes and Zack Ryder which DID go down. One for two ain't bad, Teddy.
Ryder ending beating Rhodes in the non-title affair. Woo woo woo!
David Otunga announced that Henry's blood pressure was wonky and his match with Show had to be cancelled. Otunga was then knocked out by the former champ which leads me to believe that he was none too happy. I use context clues!
The Miz ended up backstage with Long and he told the Smackdown General Manager that he'd face anybody. "Holla, playa?" Long replied. "Then playa, you can holla at Sheamus."
I really don't think Long even talks like that anymore. Anyway, Sheamus beat Miz after a Brogue Kick.
Wade Barrett came out next and started trash talking Randy Orton, demanding another match. "The Viper" came out and they brawled.
WWE Tag Team Champion Kofi Kingston defeated Primo.
A match between Bryan and Dolph Ziggler went to a no contest after fellow Vickie's Cub Jack Swagger interfered. The Big Show came out to even the odds and it turned into a tag match which the team of Bryan and Show won after the champ made Swagger tap out.
This week's episodes of NXT and Superstars were also taped. NXT saw The Usos defeat the team of Derrick Bateman and Johnny Curtis and Trent Barreta picked up a win over Curt Hawkins. Kaitlyn -- who joined Pin Up Strong, didn't she? -- beat Maxine after her former beau Bateman distracted her and Tyson Kidd defeated Percy Watson. Finally, Titus O'Neil came out on top over JTG.
Superstars saw former Nexus members collide when Justin Gabriel beat Heath Slater and Hunico defeating Ezekiel Jackson.
Most interestingly, Seth Rollins -- who is getting a try-out on the Raw brand next week -- foe Dean Ambrose wrestled a dark match in a losing effort to Ted DiBiase.

Yes Teddy Long still talks in Holla Playa phrases
inbetween awkward segments with Asanka, awkaward because of the sexual tension.

I'd be pissed...
If Aksana was all over me and Christian or Rhodes kept interrupting.

Where are they going with Barret and Orton
P.S Just going through your Superman Cena article Sergio, and I really like your writing style and the sarcasm that you bring into the pieces. Mean Gene Mrosko is great at analyzing stuff. Why didn’t I find this site earlier!
