Ring of Honor (ROH) Video Wire for Dec. 16 and complete Final Battle 2011 card
TNA's Final Resolution came and went and last night (Dec. 18) saw WWE's last 2011 pay-per-view (PPV) offering in the form of TLC.
But before the clock strikes midnight on Dec. 31 and ushers in a brand new year, Ring of Honor (ROH) will host their Final Battle.
Live on internet pay-per-view (iPPV) this Friday Dec. 23, the last card ROH will put together -- as has been in years prior -- won't be one to miss. Every single title -- including the World Championship -- will be defended, something that wasn't the case at the company's last iPPV offering, Death Before Dishonor IX.
Champion Davey Richards was doing his thing in Japan when the show went down and fans were pretty vocal about it. ROH heard those complaints and have put together a stacked card, top to bottom.
Cageside's own Thomas Holzerman opined that the company's entire year has been a bit lackluster and hasn't quite hit the high points of previous years but that this show could help right the ship. While I agree that 2011 hasn't been the best in the company's history, there's still a lot that ROH can hang its hat this year.
While their new TV deal isn't perfect, it's leagues better than the one they had with HDNet and ownership under Sinclair Broadcasting Group ensures some financial stablity. An influx of new talent like Michael Elgin, TJ Perkins, and The Bravado Brothers is also a good sign for the promotion's future.
But the focus for now is on Final Battle. ROH recently released their last Video Wire going into the event, which you can see after the jump. A full lineup for the event is also provided because we love you that damn much.
Take a look see!
