Spoilers for TLC go-home episode of WWE Smackdown to air Dec. 16
The Tables, Ladders, Chairs (TLC) pay-per-view (PPV) is this Sunday (Dec. 18) and the finishing touches were put on it last night during the Smackdown taping.
What can fans expect to see?
The feud between wrestler turned announcer turned wrestler Booker T and Intercontinental Champion Cody Rhodes continues and The Big Show warms up for his title match at the PPV by taking on another former champ Jack Swagger.
And the main event will features the team of Randy Orton and "The Long Island Iced Z" Zack Ryder facing off against Wade Barrett and United States Champion Dolph Ziggler.
Find out exactly what happens this Friday (Dec. 16) after the jump.
KING BOOKAH started the show inside the ring. He was interviewed by Josh Matthews. He said he didn't want beef with Rhodes but Dusty's baby boy brought this on himself. When asked if a full-time return was in the cards should he win on Sunday, Booker said he wasn't sure. Rhodes came out and trash talked and said a third match between him and Daniel Bryan was set but if Booker interfered this time, the title match at TLC was cancelled.
Rhodes beat Bryan in a non-title match.
Alicia Fox beat Natalya ... twice somehow. Ugh.
Jack Swagger is with Vickie Guerrero backstage when World Heavyweight Champion Mark Henry showed up to ask the "All-American America" to hurt The Big Show as much as he hurt the champ. If he does, Henry promised a future world title shot. I like the idea but when you really think about it, since when do champs determine who they face?
Epico and Primo beat The Usos. Rosa Mendes is hanging out with Epico and Primo now.
The Big Show beat Swagger. Henry came out and sat down at the bottom of the ramp to take in the action. After the win, Show tosses Swagger to the outside and he lands at Henry's feet. The champ blasts him with a chair and then takes out a camera man! WIG SPLITTING~!
Backstage segment with Randy Orton and Zack Ryder. Ryder seems more excited for this tag team match than Orton is.
Ted DiBiase beat Heath Slater ... again? Afterwards, Jinder Mahal attacked DiBiase until Teddy Long is all, "Playa, playa, playa! Don't holla at him, holla at this guy!" and Sheamus came out.
Sheamus squashed Mahal.
In the main event, Orton and Ryder beat Dolph Ziggler and Wade Barrett. After the match, Barrett got up on a table and stood on while he and Orton mad dogged each other.
There you have it, folks! What do you think? Seems like a pretty standard show leading into the PPV.
