Jim Ross rap fail from Raw last night (Dec. 12): What he actually wanted to say

WWE Raw last night (Dec. 12, 2011), which emanated from Norfolk, Virginia, in front of a seriously disinterested crowd at the Scope, kicked off with yet another segment featuring Michael Cole and Jim Ross verbally battling each other inside the ring.

Except this time, they did a "rap off," at the behest of Booker T. Thanks, Book, for your wonderfully bright idea (even if it wasn't really yours).

The result was some of the worst TV since the last time Cole and Ross were in the ring together doing the "Michael Cole Challenge," which featured both men dancing around and shaking their asses on live TV.

Cole managed to get through his lines without making a complete fool of himself but the same can't be said for good old J.R., who had a brain fart, as he described it, at the worst possible time. His music hit, he delivered the first two lines just fine and all was going well. And then he disaster struck.

Let's take a look at the video before revealing the rap that Ross was actually trying to say.

Star-divide

And there's the disaster.

Ross took to Twitter very shortly after this aired and apologized for his performance before composing himself long enough to remember his rap. Here's his apology:

"I apologize 4 the worst segment of tv I've ever killed. Had a rap thought, lost it. Won a Slammy!:)"

Understandable, Mr. Ross. And what were you trying to say?

"Michael Cole ur damn fool. King beat u like Gov Mule. I should call Raw ur not in my class. U kissed kings feet now u can kiss my ass! Whew."

And boom goes the dynamite.

The worst part in all this isn't that this was a god awful segment on Raw but that Ross gave Cole all the ammunition he will ever need. Not that he needed any more than he already has.

If Vince was trying to, once again, make JR look like a fool in front of the world,

this segment must have exceeded his wildest expectations. The ol’ bastard was probably sitting in the back, creaming his jeans.

I hope JR had fun doing that last night. He seemed to (at least, to me he did). Well, if you’re getting paid to make an ass of yourself, I suppose you might as well have fun doing it.

Ross has a choice in all of this, so I don’t feel bad at all for him. It doesn’t help that Ross berates those fans on Twitter who try to stick up for him.

The WWE Good Ol'JR character may look like a fool in front of the world,

but the real life Jim Ross is enjoying those paychecks. The character and the person shouldn’t be confused so much. It’s like Buster Keaton or Chaplin.

so glad I missed this part

Maslow's theory of higher needs does not apply to Patrick Willis. He only has two needs: tackling people and finding people to tackle.
