Video: The Rock promo after Survivor Series 2011 went off the air

When Survivor Series went off the air last night (Nov. 20) on pay-per-view, The Rock stuck around to cut a promo and chat with fans at Madison Square Garden in New York. And he killed it even when the cameras weren't rolling (besides this here video, thanks to sescoops on YouTube).

"The Great One" says he's back and here to stay but we know that's not totally true. Anyone care to venture a guess on how often he's around over the next few months leading into WrestleMania?

Even with a simple sentence...

He somehow gets the crowd to chant. The Rock’s apperances and promos are a sharp reminder of just how good….great he is and how almost all of the WWE roster need to step up their game on the mic.

It wasn’t because he said great things.. its because the sheople were remembering the good old days. He didn’t say anything great except for “weed”.. And I’m shocked that fans in NYC ate it up because Rock comes back, feeds everyone garbage about being back.. that was at Mania.. and he hasn’t been.. then he puts on that match.. and even worse.. this keep Cena elevated. Yea, Rock can run down Cena.. that’s great.. then he’ll be gone & Cena will still be the man.. and Rock didn’t change nothing. The match itself sucks & Rocks finishers have always been weak. And people eat it up.. and in the so called attitude era.. how they did.. it was only due to his mic work. I don’t get it.

I see...

So basically what it comes down to is you hating the Rock. Well sorry if the Rock has great delivery and knows how to work a crowd with the mic.

Your shocked that people liked the Rock being gold on the mic? Did you expect the NYC to boo him for being entertaining on the mic?

If you really expected that match to be more then a) a way to get some ring rust of the rock and b) something to enhance the fued between Rock and Cena c) entertaining then sorry that you was disappointed. Also the worse part of the match was when the beat down of Cena went on for too long. Yeah totally the Rock’s fault there ¬_¬

Rock wasn’t a great wrestler but he was a great worker. That, along wth his mic work, is why he’s so damn over. Can’t see why something so simple you can’t get shrugs

God. I hope this man doesn’t leave. He is STILL a top performer in-ring and STILL the best on the mic. Amazing that the man didn’t miss a beat. I will mark out and beg Rock to stay even though he won’t.
