According to wrestleheat.com WWE management is looking to give C.M. Punk another push thanks to his strong presence in merchandise sales. In fact, in this area Punk is running neck and neck with John Cena in this area and will likely pass him in the males demographic. Read the plans after the jump.

According to various backstage sources, Punk is expected to headline the next few PPV's with Alberto Del Rio and there is also talk that he will hold the WWE Championship by the end of this year or early next year. WWE is looking at the John Cena-Rock match as a non-title match and that is good news for C.M. Punk. There is even rumblings that C.M. Punk could have his own book come out, because WWE has not released many books as of late. For every C.M. Punk fan, this is most certainly welcome news as many thought  Punk was being put on the back burner or worse being buried. Mind you, this is strictly rumor but at least WWE is recognizing Punk's potential as a huge draw and are planning accordingly.
