John Morrison Twitter takes shoot comments on Triple H a bit too far

Photo via WWE

With WWE deciding to go in a direction that doesn't necessarily focus more on its superstars "shooting" but definitely doesn't discourage it, there's bound to be a few wrestlers that take liberties with that.

Look no further than John Morrison, who, not unlike a lot of other talent, took to Twitter to voice his displeasure with Triple H from this past Monday night (Oct. 3) on Raw as a way to advance storyline. But he may have went just a bit too far, considering his current standing with the company.

"I wonder if John Laurintis's current promo work is any indication of his aptitude as a wrestler during past in ring endeavors......If the WWE universe is paying our checks maybe the pay scale among us independent contractors should be a bit more evenly distributed......maybe forming a union is a good idea... all other entertainment and sporting entities have them......getting an individual health insurance policy after neck surgery is not easy......I wonder if HHH has an individual health insurance plan, or gets group coverage because he's classified as an employee......I think HHH may have over reached with this whole C.O.O. thing; he does do that from time to time- The Chaperone; Inside Out...I like chaos! If they all leave & I stay, maybe HHH & I could do 5 backstage segments, an in ring promo, and an hour match next week! Who am I kidding, HHH is a narcissist. He doesn't think I'm at his level- His main concern is positioning himself as the center of attention. HHH's ego is hungry. He's got a steak dinner every Monday night- but if he thinks his ego's gonna snack elsewhere; I'm gonna eat his lunch!"

I can't decide if Morrison is brilliant for doing what he can to make enough controversial comments to insert himself deeper into the picture or if he's just downright stupid for going way over the line of what he should and shouldn't be saying on his Twitter account. Plenty of other superstars made their feelings known in far less aggressive a manner (video is after the jump). Then again, most of them are higher up the ladder.

Morrison is still suffering for the sins of his lady friend, Melina, who also frequently got herself into trouble by tweeting things she shouldn't have been talking about publicly. Looks like her boyfriend still isn't getting the message.

I'm not saying Morrison is going to meet the same fate as Melina and end up future endeavored today but if you put an over/under on how much longer he'll be with WWE at three weeks, I think I might take the under.

But is he wrong

I doubt he is the only one that thinks these things about Hunter, but he was ballsy/stupid enough to say them

Daniel Bryan had to delete a tweet

for suggesting that the wrestlers should unionize. I think suggesting that, storyline or not, is the real faux pas. The Triple H stuff is just Too Blatantly Honest Icing on the Truth Cake.

There’s also the possibility that Morrison is so upset at WWE’s insensitive handling of Melina’s firing and how the company has buried him since then that these Twitter remarks are a way to goad WWE into firing him, so he can join TNA in the not too distant future with his beloved girlfriend.

Yeah, that wasn't wise for John Morrison's WWE career if it wasn't fully written by the WWE writers

Knowing the rumors about him

I bet its real and I bet a year of jobber duty will clear this up or maybe… “good luck in your future endeavors Mr. Morrison.”

If he is a big a jerk as he sounds from the stories I hope he gets canned. If he didn’t ice out Trish Stratus at WM then I think he has valid complaints.

I don't get the big deal about this

Basically, he was frosty towards Trish Stratus (didn’t really talk/stand/celebrate with her) because his girlfriend didn’t like her, for whatever reason. Looking at things in context, if that the matter is that black and white, why wouldn’t you try to please your girlfriend (even if she’s completely crazy) and not be overly chummy with the person you have to work with, that your girlfriend (for some time, apparently) doesn’t like?

Because you can't let a woman that you aren't even married to ruin your career

because she doesn’t want you to act like a normal face would with another returning face.

How would he know that not being extra chummy someone his his long time girlfriend didn't like

was going to hurt his career? I’m sure, if he had the opportunity to do it all over again, he’d do what he did all over again. I know, if I was in his situation, I’d do the same.

Bros before Ho's, right Zack?

“Woo Woo Woo! You know it!”

On a serious note though, women are easily replaceable. John Morrison looks aesthetic, he has money and he’s famous… did I mention that he has money? Just waltz into an open bar and women will swoon into his arms faster than you can imagine. And there are hotter (and better) women than Melina, nom sayin?

Your once-ina-lifetime career that you slaved for? Not too sure if I can say the same.

All easier said than done, buddy

The fact that he’s stuck with her through a lot of crap, and for a while now, makes it seem to me he’s not the type to replace who’s on his arm every weekend.

And if you’re going to do something at least do it on TV. Gail Kim figured that much out.
