Former NWA Champion Barry Windham in hospital after apparent heart attack

Some unfortunate news to pass along today. Former NWA Champion Barry Windham, a hell of a worker if there ever was one, has been hospitalized in Florida due to an apparent heart attack.

His father, Bob, who wrestled under the name Blackjack Mulligan, posted on Facebook that he "has a son near death" before asking for prayers. Windham was reportedly found at his ranch where he had collapsed.

Details are still sketchy but Windham, 51, is in intensive care and his outlook doesn't look good. We here at Cageside Seats would like to wish him the best while he and his family are going through this difficult time.

During his wrestling days, Windham was best known for memorable feuds with Ric Flair and later as a member of the legendary stable, the Four Horsemen.
