TNA Bound for Glory 2011 match card (Complete)

Photo

TNA Bound for Glory, which goes down this Sunday night (Oct. 16, 2011) from the Liacouras Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, has its complete line-up set and ready to roll after the Impact Wrestling go-home show just last night.

The event is centered around the Hulk Hogan vs. Sting "fight," which has been advertised as the last time we'll see the "Hulkster" in this capacity, and the TNA heavyweight championship match pitting titleholder Kurt Angle vs. Bobby Roode, whose huge push should see him win the gold. Keyword: should.

Here's how the complete card looks:

-- Kurt Angle vs. Bobby Roode for the TNA world heavyweight championship
-- Hulk Hogan vs. Sting for control of TNA
-- Winter vs. Velvet Sky vs. Mickie James vs. Madison Rayne for the TNA Knockout's championship
-- Mexican America vs. Ink Inc. for the TNA tag team championships
-- Rob Van Dam vs. Jerry Lynn in a Full Metal Mayhem match
-- Mr. Anderson vs. Bully Ray in a Philadelphia Falls Count Anywhere Street Fight
-- Austin Aries vs. Brian Kendrick for the TNA X-Division championship
-- A.J. Styles vs. Christopher Daniels in an I Quit match
-- Samoa Joe vs. Crimson vs. Matt Morgan in a three way match

Jeff Hardy is also advertised to make an appearance and it after Impact last night, it looks as though he'll work a match against Jeff Jarrett, which is what he had been doing at house shows before serving his jail sentence.

Does that look like a pay-per-view worth purchasing? Or is this a "find-a-stream" kind of show?

Did anyone hear Hogan completely bury Roode?

by The Legend on Oct 14, 2011 2:07 PM EDT reply actions

Yeah, and I hope it was scripted

Or Roode outright busts Terry open.

Release...the KITTIES!

Heard it loud and clear.

He indicated Roode isn’t the next guy to carry TNA nor superstar. He’s right.

In case you are late to the show, Hogan kayfabed and said Roode wasn't ready. When he was asked who was ready, this is what he said:

“If I had to bet money on anybody and really be serious about betting money on anybody, I’d say Jeff Hardy is the next guy if he keeps his act together. Um, that’s what you gotta to have, man. This is much more than being a wrestler, this is crossing barriers, medias, ya’ know media barriers, and, and entertainment barriers of all kind.”

And then, I laughed and laughed.

BTW, Lagana has joined TNA as head of creative.

That was no kayfabe.

Pardon: Head of Creative Writing. Lagana is now director of Creative Writing.

Oh, from the tone of the interview, I thought he was. Never mind then. It’s the old “Roode couldn’t sell out a flea market” ditch again. He’ll just deny it later. La Cucharacha.

This looks like a rather decent show.

Mexican America vs. Ink Inc. is supposed to be on the Facebook live preshow so there’s that plus. I just dread James Storm either costing Roode the title or turning on him soon after. Anderson/Bully Ray will probably be a fun blood filled brawl. It should have really been a Philadelphia Chain Match with Bully Ray always using his wallet chain as a weapon. Styles/Daniels should be good. Hell RVD/Lynn should be good if RVD decides not to phone it in.

Holy crap. After reading that last post, I realize why I haven't been watching TNA.

Wow. Wallet chain match. Chain matches are usually really boring. Or bad. See “Ball and Chain Match, The,” or “Russian Chain Match.” The only one that was good was the one at Starrcade ’83 between Valentine and Piper, which was a great brawl. Nobody could sell that chain like Piper could…..and he did lose 50% of the hearing in that ear.

Half of those are gimmick matches/stip matches. Why two multiple wrestler matches? Does Mickie have the Batista/Cena contract?

Van Dam has been phoning it in since 2005. Lynn is broken down. It’s attempt to catch the same match from 12 years ago.

I love how it’s two days out, and they’re still slapping matches together. I would say that this is worse than Wrestlemania, but they scratched a match while it was happening.

I’m starting to not want to watch any of these shows anymore. It’s like Anarchist’s CookBooking.

There seems to be too many matches on the TNA Bound For Glory 2011 PPV, it seems that matches like daniels vs aj and rvd vs jerry lynn are just filler matches. Still, I think people will tune in to catch Hogan vs Sting and Bobby Rhoode vs Kurt Angle.
