Vince McMahon returns to WWE Raw, fires Triple H as COO

Photo via WWE.com

Last night on Raw, Vince McMahon made his return to WWE television. Yes, after just a few months away and a short stint for Triple H as on-screen Chief Operating Officer, Mr. McMahon is back ... with dyed hair, even.

He returned during the very first match of the night, John Cena vs. Sheamus with Triple H as special guest referee (to read why this was the case, hit up the Raw live blog here), and interrupted to make a major announcement.

After scolding "The Game" for his inability to keep Raw in order during his time at the helm, Vince informed his successor the Board of Directors were making another tough decision.

Triple H was fired.

Naturally, that meant Vince had to appoint someone to run things in the interim and he inserted none other than his former lap dog, John Laurinaitis, as the General Manager.

Later in the show, "Trips" was placed in a match at Vengeance, which would seem to mark his return to an active wrestling role. It seemed as though it would only be a matter of time. How it got there, though, is absolutely sickening.

How are you Cagesiders feeling about McMahon being back and Triple H being out of his role as COO? Video after the jump.

The Niners are having a good season. I hope the Ram’s lose out & ditch everyone. Bradford, Jackson, and the coach. Then get Luck in the draft and maybe the Mad Hatter from LSU or another good coach.

yeah they have definitely been a welcome surprise this season

I expected the Rams to run away with the division this year. There’s a lot of talent on that team, I’ve been surprised how they have played so far

If at first you dont succeed, you are obviously not Patrick Willis

There’s no savior. No one can go against the elite forces of McMahon-HHH-Cena.

I think I’m accepting this fact now.

Loved how three top babyfaces put over Triple H in the first segment.

While Triple H continued to bury every midcarder as “losers” including the champion Del Rio. RAW SUCKED ASS!

So what now?

Does anybody think Raw and Smackdown will proceed like nothing’s ever happened now that things are roughly back to where it were 3 months ago (minus the laptop, replaced with Johnny Ace)?

the fact that

Cena gets yet another title shot for no reason at Vengeance should answer that question

As bad as that show last night was

I do kind of like how hard Triple H is trolling you guys right now.

"In fact, most of these free-swinging Padres couldn’t hit Dock’s funky palm ball. I threw it often. But by then, also, the first acid distractions entered: the TV flickered; the cracks in the wall started to move; the hand soap started to breathe — those sorts of things. Plus I was drawn to the outdoor garden between innings. Rain was near, I sensed." - A.J. Daulerio

what was the point of this storyline? it had no end product

how did vince return when hhh told him “he was relieved of his duties”

first promo was kinda good……the match was pointless. the 3 on 3 tag match was pointless and it was a non tag match. as about 1-2 tag moves were performed. legion of doom member hawk shudders in his grave every time wwe put on a tag match. a wwe tag match is 4 singles matches going on at once with tagging allowed.

the main event tag match? again being a tag match what was the purpose? none.

The WWE Network is coming

They need HHH in an active wrestling role to boost ratings.
