Wanderlei Silva Likely to Face Brian Stann Upon Return to the Octagon

Via MMAFighting:

Brian Stann is the most likely opponent for Silva upon his return, UFC president Dana White told MMA Fighting. Though White couldn't offer a specific date for the bout, Silva is expected to be ready to see octagon action in the spring.

Many have petitioned Dana White for a fight with Wanderlei Silva, but it appears that Brian Stann will be the one to welcome Silva back to the cage.  Stann is coming off an impressive first round TKO of Chris Leben at UFC 125, while Wanderlei has been sidelined since his decision victory over Michael Bisping at UFC 110.  At first glance, this match up doesn't seem to favor Silva, with Stann's heavy hands and the long lay off, it could be a recipe for disaster.  Silva will have to utilize a full muay thai arsenal to keep Stann guessing, which is what he was able to accomplish against Michael Bisping in early 2010.
