Georges St. Pierre vs Josh Koscheck Official for Montreal at UFC 124
When you're the champion I guess you get more love. The UFC, after initial reports suggested that the fight would be held in Las Vegas, has decided to hold the rematch between GSP and Josh Koscheck in the champions backyard. I suppose it doesn't matter where the fight happens but you know that crowd is going to be insane for St. Pierre. After his UFC 113 fight with Paul Daley that earned him this shot, Koscheck talked trash to the Montreal crowd ensuring that he will definitely be the heel going into this one. We're talking heel on the level of Matt Serra from a few years ago.
For my money, I think Koscheck will give GSP more trouble then he's had in quite some time. In fact, I think Koscheck is the last guy to really push the champion back at UFC 74. TUF 12 starts on the 15th of this month so it's almost time for the hype to begin. Here's a video preview of the big matchup going down in December.

I think they want it in Montreal because of the bigger venues then the ones they use in Vegas. But, they can still charge Vegas prices because it’s GSP in Montreal and they know Canadians will eat that up.
They also probably want to make up for all those tickets they comped for Boston.
I think at this point
GSP is the like the star of the football team. He can pretty much do what he wants.
Forget it Donny, you're out of your element.

No doubt in my mind.
I bet he asked them for it. Same as Koscheck asked them to have it in Pittsburgh. The UFC can use a lot of different reasons for holding the fight in Montreal and giving GSP what he wants. This is the kind of thing that I wish we had more reporting on. I’d love to sit in on a GSP-Dana White/UFC official conversation.
Forget it Donny, you're out of your element.
