Looks like Sonnen with appeal the positive drug test per good friend of Bix, Ariel Helwani at MMA Fighting:
"In an MMA Fighting exclusive, Sonnen's manager, Mike Roberts, wrote that Sonnen will appeal the California State Athletic Commission's claim that he tested positive for "abnormally high" levels of testosterone and that Sonnen will break his silence on the matter in the coming days."
I'm looking forward to whatever it is that Sonnen will have to say regarding this matter. I haven't heard a good defense against a failed test by an athlete yet. We'll see if Sonnen can come up with something original to say. That's what he seems to be good at.

Well, the CSAC hasn’t said what exactly he admitted to taking. He was sick a week before the fight so it’s possible he could have told them he might fail due to taking some form of cold or flu medication. All the facts aren’t out yet. We’ll hear from Sonnen in the coming days.

Sonnen, 33, of West Lind, Ore., was apparently concerned enough about the possibility that he would render a positive test that he told CSAC executive director George Dodd he used an illegal performance enhancing drug leading up to the biggest fight of his life.
Right, but he could spin that by claiming he either a) never said it or b) they misinterpreted what he did say. Remember he’s a politician.

Hahaha. You know what’s great? Ariel told me on Twitter he would give me an interview for the site and that he’s a big fan of Cageside Seats.

Speaking for myself, if I ever said anything slightly disparaging about Ariel on Cageside Seats or elsewhere (I think I once called him a pro wrestling mark at the very least), nothing personal was meant by it. He seems like a pretty cool dude.

I think at this point calling someone a mark for pro wrestling is the norm and now accepted. Almost like saying you are a fan. Even if the interview never happens, which I really hope it does, I think it’s great that he said he’s a big fan of our website.
