The ratings are in for the UFC 118 Prelims special on Spike and they are the lowest they've ever been. The one hour special that featured three fights before leading into the PPV garnered a 0.83 rating for 1.1 million viewers.
The numbers are interesting in that, the show started with an initial audience of 1.2 million viewers and each quarter hour the numbers declined more and more before plateauing at 1.0. The night started with the Andre Winner-Nik Lentz tilt that was supposed to feature the startling knockout power of Winner but instead gave us three rounds of Lentz holding Winner against the cage. That style really does kill the audience. It's a shame too because Joe Lauzon put in a jaw-dropping performance against Gabe Reudigar directly after and Dan Miller was also highly entertaining.
