What are some of the most brutal matches in WWF/E history?
I was just watching the "I Quit" match from the 1999 Royal Rumble and it got me wondering what you guys thought was up there? I'm not saying the "I Quit" match between The Rock and Mankind is but the fall on the eletrical equipment and the fourteen or fifteen chair shots to the head(and remembering what Foley's looked like on Beyond the Mat) was what made me wonder. Here is the match if you want to watch it:

I definitely agree that the I Quit match is the most brutal in history but the Taker/Mankind Hell in a Cell is pretty outrageous as well:

Honestly, I think the botched chokeslam through the top of the cage is worse than Mankind being thrown off the top of the cell. Mankind has said multiple times that Undertaker thought he killed him after he saw the cage break and his body hit the canvas.

Agreed...
That was the first match that came to my mind after finished this thread. When Mankind is smiling in the corner with his tooth coming out of his nose I’ll probably never forget that image for some reason. I’m trying to think of a match right now without Foley in it because that’s all I can think of, maybe it is because I watched the “I Quit” match and want to watch his Street Fight & Hell in a Cell with HHH now. He’s definately had the most from what I remember.
There was a boiler room brawl between Taker and Mankind that was pretty brutal. Honestly, I think every featured match involving Foley was brutal. You could count the TLC matches(especially the famous Smackdown match with Jericho and Benoit). There was a Lesnar/Taker Hell in a Cell match that was crazy, also No Way Out 2001 Austin vs. HHH 2/3 falls and Austin vs. Angle at SS 2001.

Gotta be the Undertaker/Manking Hell in a Cell match, hands down.

Yeah, I'm not initiated, but I have to go with 'Taker/Mankind's Hell in a Cell epic.
