The intended result was exactly what happened. As I commented in my predictions, this was a squash match the whole way. Cormier caught Riley with a right hand early and Riley went down and just covered up before tapping to get out of the fight. Cormier looked pretty damn good but that was the whole point of a fight like this. Not really worth the time but they're building him up.
