Responding to a call from the cab driver, police found both men outside 62 Safford St. at about 1 a.m. Sunday
The driver told police that he had picked up the suspect, who appeared intoxicated, outside the North Quincy MBTA station a short time earlier. While being driven to his home, the passenger told the driver, "I’m not (expletive) paying you," according to Quincy police.
The cabbie said he then pulled over on Safford Street and told the passenger to get out. Escobedo then allegedly hit the cabbie on the back of the head with a large, gold-plated World Wrestling Entertainment belt buckle, which was not attached to a belt.
