RVD will be in an injury angle at the hands of Abyss this week which will force RVD to vacate his title. A Tournament for the title will begin at the iMPACT tapings tonight to crown a new TNA Champion culminating at the No Surrender PPV.

The obvious questions are why have RVD vacate the title and not have Abyss beat him for it and then injure him and why have RVD drop the title so soon in the first place? He's getting major heat and traction as the Champ so why change the formula before you start getting the results you want and if you want to change the Championship why do it in a way that decreases the value of the title?
