Tomorrow night, mega-indie Ring of Honor will present their second iPPV "The Big Bang" live from Charlotte, NC. The show will be presented on GoFightLive.tv,
The show will begin at 7:00 EST and will be $14.95 to buy. Their first iPPV, last year's Final Battle in December, was fraught with technical difficulties (mainly with the sound) but was a really great idea and it was great to be able to see a live event on your computer. Generally, when promotions like ROH or DGUSA have done PPV, it has been pre-taped, thus losing a lot of its luster (and making ROH's weekly TV show more difficult to work around), but I hope they continue to do more iPPV events in the future.
The Big Bang's main event is a three-way match featuring the ROH World champion Tyler Black and the two number-one contenders, Austin Aries and Roderick Strong. Check out the above video for the full (convoluted) story here.
The ROH World Tag Team titles are also on the line, as champs The Briscoes take on Chris Hero and Claudio Castagnoli, the Kings of Wrestling. This should be a classic ROH everything-and-the-kitchen sink tag title match.
There will be a couple of lucha matches for some reason on the undercard, and Necro Butcher taking on Erick Stevens in a hardcore match, but the other big feud being advanced tomorrow night will be a grudge tag match with Kevin Steen and Steve Corino taking on El Generico and Colt Cabana. Longtime partners Steen and Generico split at Final Battle after Steen brained Generico with a chair and told him he was worthless and tired of carrying him. He has aligned himself with the hated Corino, while Generico's friend Cabana has come to his aid. This has been a really terrific feud so far, and Generico has yet to lay a hand on Steen, so when these two finally get in the ring together, it should be outstanding.
So check it out if you've got $15 to spare. There are possibly worse things to do on a Saturday night.
