Dixie Carter resorts to pleading with fans to DVR Impact if they can't watch it live on Twitter

Perhaps the only good news TNA got this week was that the replay of Impact in their old Thursday night time slot drew an impressive 1.0 rating.  Unfortunately this strong rating apparently didn't make Spike TV change their minds about the replay only being for one week only, as Dixie Carter wrote the following on Twitter 14 hours ago:  "TNA iMPACT! will NOT re-air on Thursdays. If you can't watch LIVE Mondays 9-11pm ET on SPIKE, please DVR it. PLEASE RT".

Knowing TNA, I'm sure they forgot to tell the one million or so people watching their replay this salient fact and Dixie Carter had to make a desperation tweet to get the news out to her 34,000 followers on Twitter.  Well, that's sure to make a huge difference to their Monday night rating!  Forward planning is obviously not TNA's strong point.

such an awful decision this was

just on all sides, this is a complete fuckup.

what they should’ve done is stay on thursday, but run a live monday night impact the night after each PPV to gauge and/or prep the market for this move. that monday night live impact would’ve given the WWE a much better run, since there’d be a much stronger pull to get people to watch it. it’d be new, and fresh, and it would’ve given them an extra 2 hours a month to promote their product.

Did you know that 98% of all black men enjoy sex in the shower?????????????? probably because the other 2 percent haven't been to Jail yet

They did a horrible job promoting the move to Mondays

they did a much better job promoting the monday show in Jan.

Said it at the time they did the January iMPACT! and I'll say it again

Running against Raw in the day and age of Tivo and DVR is stupid. Think things are bad now? Wait till Monday Night Football is back in the fall. Having said that, if they pop anything close to what they pulled on the January show in the coming weeks all of this will be forgotten. I’m not holding my breath.

Most DVRs can only record two things at once. I can’t see wrestling fans chosing TNA over Raw when you also have to DVR House. Glad I got AT&T. You can record 4 shows at once. So I can actually watch TNA. They should have moved the show to Tuesdays. Put it up against NXT. Then you might see some ratings.

This is a good point. DVRing Raw and House precludes me from watching TNA most of the time.

They’re nothing if not really good at doing the wrong thing.

Bob Ryder is really pushing the DVR angle on Facebook too

So I guess that’s the new TNA slogan: “TNA: Hey, if you aren’t going to care enough about us to watch us live, at least watch us on DVR.”

Kevin Nash sensibly goes off message

His tweet: “TNA IMPACT will air on monday night from 9-11 on mondays only no thursday repeat.watch us live ,DVR WWE if you really have to”. As Dave Meltzer pointed out on the Observer board, it’s pretty scary when Kevin Nash is the only one who has a clue about promoting.
