Where are all the rumors coming from regarding the retirement plans of the Undertaker? Some emailers are contacting us as if these rumors are fact and are etched in stone. These are the same, unfounded rumors that begin making their rounds after each Wrestlemania. My take on this matter is that Undertaker isn't retiring after WM27 in Atlanta. I can easily see the Deadman competing for another three years or so if his schedule is well managed. If forced to speculate, and that's all I'm doing, wouldn't calling it a day after, say, Wrestlemania 30 make more sense? Bottom line is that Taker will retire when he's damn well ready to retire plus I still stand by what I have always said that he will never lose a match at Wrestlemania.
From the blog of Jim Ross. How exactly is Undertaker going to last 3 more years? I just don't see that happening. Maybe they don't retire him at Mania next year but I'll be shocked if we see him any later than WrestleMania 28.

I suppose.
I wouldn’t like it though. What’s with all the Taker-Sheamus rumors?
Forget it Donny, you're out of your element.

Don’t know it came out of the blue, I thought the top choice was Cena. He hasn’t faced Jericho at Wrestlemania yet right? Maybe they replace Sheamus with him. They do Taker/Cena this year then Taker/Jericho next year since it looks like if Jericho comes back he would face Orton. What other top guys right now hasn’t he faced at Wrestlemania? Somebody said that they should do HHH for his 20th match but I think that would be stupid.
As The Undertaker is so synomynous with WrestleMania, I could see Vince allowing him to retire from his current full time reduced dates schedule, but keep bringing him back every year for a WrestleMania program and maybe one at SummerSlam too.
'Taker retiring at WM 30 sounds good to me.
He already has a limited schedule and he’s proven that he can still go in the ring as long as his future opponents can go as well. He still commands one of the biggest pops in the game and his live ring entrance is a show in and of itself. I don’t think the WWE, the fans, and the Undertaker are ready to end such an amazing institution in only 6 months. Hell, seeing The Undertaker wrestle for 3 to 4 months out of a year until WM 30 is better than no Deadman at all.

I have to agree.
I guess I’ve been a mark for years, and he really is an institution that will leave a massive, gaping hole when he’s gone.
His entrance is legendary, my favorite of all-time.
