Fedor's Strikeforce Debut; Brett Rogers

It was bound to happen sooner or later -- Fedor Emelianenko has his first fight in Strikeforce booked. Early fears it would be against a far lesser opponent have subsided as today it was announced that Fedor will face Arlovski-killer Brett Rogers. Sherdog has the scoop from the Fedor NYC Open Workout.

Fedor Emelianenko will make his Strikeforce debut in a showdown with undefeated heavyweight Brett Rogers, Strikeforce CEO Scott Coker announced on Wednesday during the Russian superstar’s public workout at the Fighthouse Gym in New York City. No date or venue was announced. 

While not Josh Barnett, Rogers should be a formidable opponent for Fedor and this will be a great test for Rogers.
