Conflicting report on the CM Punk dress code story

"The Angelic Diablo" Matt Hardy

"The Angelic Diablo" Matt Hardy

One of the dudes at something spyware joke something something is reporting that the Undertaker didn't say anything to anyone about how CM Punk was dressed during the European tour, in spite of what Dave Meltzer is reporting.  Matt Hardy was complaining about it, but nobody else was.  They are also reporting that Punk-Taker was originally scheduled to go on last but Undertaker didn't want to because he was afraid that his faux hip wouldn't allow him to have the type of match that one would hope for in a Undertaker PPV main event Hell in a Cell match.  Also, it's said that the title switch had been planned for a while and was not booked as a punishment.

Feel free to come to your own conclusions.

Yeah, Taker winning the title was penciled in way before all this dress code bullshit blew up. In fact, there was word going around that Vince was considering letting Punk keep the belt just to swerve everyone.

punk should have won.

him going over taker in HIAC would have pushed him to the moon (at least if taker wasn’t so much a shell of his former self).

i guess the other problem with pushing punk like that, is that if he’d have gone clean over taker, who’s left for him to feud with? he’s got nothing to do with batista, and really, noone wants to see batista, morrison isn’t ready, jericho sucks, show would be interesting. edge, i don’t think is the right fit.

jack swagger, christian, and ezekial jackson need to get their heads out of their asses, and get pushed to main event status.

human beings, who are almost unique in their ability to learn from the experiences of others, are also remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do so.

Jericho sucks? Wha? If I may fantasy book for a sec…
Step one: Jericho and Show lose belts to Rey and Batista, then have R & B lose to Mark Henry & MVP at next show (yes, really). In main event, have Jericho interfere in Taker-Punk, resulting in Punk winning. Do the recent US title threeway feud angle for the World title, just with Punk, Taker, and Jericho.
Step two: ???
Step three: $$$

jericho can no longer hang in the world title picture as a wrestler.

he just doesn’t have the athleticism anymore. he can talk his way around anyone, and he’s not THAT bad in the ring, but i wouldn’t want him anywhere near the world title.

human beings, who are almost unique in their ability to learn from the experiences of others, are also remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do so.
