Ben Roethlisberger Pretty Stupid For Getting Involved With Wrestling

Ben Roethlisberger just doesn't seem to know what's good for him.  He already put his career at risk once, riding a motorcycle without a helmet which is the stupidest thing imaginable.  Now he's going to step into the WWE, in the middle of the season, to host RAW.  If that's not bad enough, apparently Big Ben has gone rogue, dragging his teammates along without the coach's permission.

"I mean, it's our off day," Roethlisberger said, via the Beaver County Times. "I talked to (Tomlin) about it. I didn't really ask for his permission. I talked to him about it to get a feel for if he was going to have a big problem with it. I figured he tell me. But like I said, it's our off day."

The Steelers will have Tuesday off after meetings on Monday. The Times reported that Roethlisberger's party will fly to the event in Wilkes-Barre, Pa., after work.

On Tuesday, Tomlin acknowledged the wrestling date, but wasn't thrilled. "I'm aware of it," he told reporters. "I just don't have a comment at this time."

Everyone knows that wrestling is fake.  Yet, it is physical.  I'd hate to see one of those big hoss lineman tear a knee or even pull a hammy in some inevitable confrontation with The Big Show.  It seems to me the risk isn't worth the reward.  If Ben or a lineman suffers even a minor injury, there could be major repercussions on Tuesday.
