Greatest Summerslam Matches: (#9) Eddie Guerrero vs Rey Mysterio- "Custody of Dominic" ladder match - SS05

An awesome match between two foes familiar with each other.

For months, these two former World Tag Team champs had been feuding with each other. At first egged on by his nephew, Chavo Guerrero Jr., Eddie had taken the feud in a more personal direction. Having had no luck defeating Rey on any pay per view leading up to The Great American Bash, Eddie declared that if Rey were to somehow lose their match there he would declare to the world a secret that Rey and his family wish to keep secret. However, even after defeating Eddie in a hard fought bout, Guerrero turned around and announced after the match the HE, and not Rey, was Rey's son Dominic's real father. Leading up to Summerslam, Eddie harassed the Mysterio family, demanding full custody of little Dominic.

As only happens in wrestling, custody of the child was the reward to the victor of a ladder match booked for Summerslam. Enjoy!
