Greatest Summerslam Matches: (#11) Randy Orton vs Chris Benoit- SS 04

Benoit had defeated HHH for the World Title at Wrestlemania just a few months before, and had defeated him in rematches leading up to Summerslam. When it was time to name an opponent for the World Title match at Summerslam, HHH's stablemate in Evolution, Randy Orton, was determined the #1 contender. This led to some tension in Evolution, but nothing that would stop the match from occurring.

This was a very good, evenly contested match between two competitors who gave everything they had. Orton was seen backstage as a new superstar for the WWE, and more marketable than Benoit, so at the end of this match Orton becomes the youngest WWE World Champ of all time. Watch and enjoy!
